The Shabaab al-Mujahideen Movement reported that its fighters are still inside the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya, and their hostages are alive, “looking quite disconcerted but, nevertheless, alive”.

The Shabaab’s Press Office opened a sixth Twitter account on September 24, 2013, after its last five were suspended, and declared the Westgate operation to be “far, far greater than how the Kenyans perceive it in their minds”. It posted a CCTV image of two gunmen in the mall, pointing out that they appear “unruffled” and “strolling… in such sangfroid manner”. Also, taunting Kenyans, the group claimed that despite the courage they have shown during the incident they are “shaken” and their leaders lack the “moral fibre to do the right thing”.

Following is a copy of the English tweets:

#Westgate attack is now into its fourth day but the operation is far, far greater than how the Kenyans perceive it in their minds

There are countless number of dead bodies still scattered inside the mall, and the Mujahideen are still holding their ground #Westgate

The incoherent ramblings of Kenyan officials and the blatant discrepancies with regards to the Mujahideen at #Westgate betrays their fears

The hostages who were being held by the Mujahideen inside #Westgate are still alive, looking quite disconcerted but, nevertheless, alive

Here are 2 of the Mujahideen inside #Westgate mall, unruffled and strolling around the mall in such sangfroid manner

HSM Press can confirm that the 2 men captured by the CCTV image are part of the Mujahideen carrying out the operation inside #Westgate Mall

Kenyans, look how fear has gripped your nation. You do not even have the freedom to send a simple SMS to your friends and family #Westgate

You can put on a brave face but you're shaken. Your spirit is on the wane &your leaders lack the moral fibre to do the right thing #Westgate

You could have avoided all this and lived your lives with relative safety. Remove your forces from our country and peace will come #Westgate
