The Islamic State in Iraq and Sham (ISIS) released four picture sets from Iraq’s Ninawa province, showing scenes from a parade through a highway, fighters engaged in operations, liberated prisoners, and a suicide bombing.
The group’s Ninawa province division posted the pictures on its Twitter account on June 14 and June 15, 2014. The suicide bomber is identified as “Abu Omar al-Jazrawi,” but the ISIS did not indicate the target of the operation or when it occurred. Pictures in that set show the bomber posing inside and outside his explosives-laden truck, and the smoke cloud from the blast. The set featuring the attacks gives the name of the military campaign as “Invasion of Asadullah al-Bilawi, Abu Abdul Rahman”. Al-Bilawi is ‘Adnan Ismail Najm, an ISIS commander who masterminded the recent battles in Anbar, Ninawa, and Salah al-Din provinces before his death.
