Ansar al-Islam, the Bangladesh branch of al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), claimed credit for the murder of blogger Niloy Neel (AKA Niloy Chowdhury).

In a communique issued in Bengali and English, and posted on its Facebook and Twitter accounts on August 7, 2015, Ansar al-Islam declared the attack to be “vengeance” for the honor of the Prophet Muhammad, and vowed similar operations in the future against its enemies. The group threatened: “If your ‘Freedom of Speech’ maintains no limits, then widen your chests for ‘Freedom of our Machetes’”.

Claim Regarding the Assassination of the Blasphemer Niloy Neel

Alhamdulillah! Mujahidin of Ansar-Al-Islam (AQIS, Bangladesh Branch) carried out an operation to slaughter an enemy of Allah (swt) and His Messenger (peace & blessings be upon upon), whose name is Niloy Chowdhury Neel.

By the permission of Allah (swt) this operation took place today (7th August, 2015) at 1:45 PM at Khilgaon! Alhamdulillah.

We, al-Qaeda in the Indian Sub-Continent, claim responsibility for this operation as vengeance for the honor of the messenger of Allah (pbuh).

And, we declare war against these worst enemies of Allah (swt) and His messenger (pbuh). We will apply all our effort to destroy them along with their allies Insha'Allah.

Alhamdulillah! This operation has healed the hearts of Muslims and the righteous scholars of this land. And the hearts of hypocrites and disbelievers are burning with rage.

O Muslims Ummah! we assure you that, as long as blood flows in the veins of your sons, these kinds of enemies of Allah (swt) and His messenger (pbuh) will be attacked by us insha'Allah.

O! Enemies of Allah and His messenger, Wait for us! For we are coming towards you.

If your "Freedom of Speech" maintains no limits, then widen your chests for "Freedom of our Machetes".
